Domain 4: Professional Responsibilities
The heart of professionalism is continual learning. I think one of the biggest ways I've been able to grow as a teacher is by getting involved in the community I teach in. In my own experience, the biggest learning experiences and most meaningful connections to my teaching have been through getting to know the students' families and being an active participant in communal activities. That said, surrounding myself with a PLN of other educators, engaging in professional development seminars, and reading (everything and anything) has continued to enhance my teaching abilities and the quality of content I create for my classes.
